Book me for your event

I have delivered various talks at conferences, small, and large scale events. I’ve covered a range of topics and delivered for different industries. For example, I delivered talks for:

  • Energy UK
  • OFGEM
  • TechShare Pro (AbilityNet)
  • Parliament
  • Econsultancy
  • Business Disability Forum (BDF)

I’ve also sat on panels and roundtables on accessibility and the social model of disability. This includes events run by Microsoft, Amazon, The Chartered Institute of Fundraising (CIOF), Mind charity, and the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

I’ve even done an interview for BBC Morning Live on the accessibility of services. I’m very much at ease in front of audiences and cameras.

Talks

I will design a talk that fits in with your event and theme. I have expertise in accessibility, disability in the workplace, inclusive language, recruitment, and adjustments.

I also bring my own lived experience alongside other’s experiences to help understanding and embed disabled voices. ‘Nothing about us without us’ is at the centre of everything I do.

My rate for talks varies on the length of the talk and if it’s online or in-person. I’m always happy to have a call to go over budget, topics and what I can offer.

Here is an example outline of a 30 minute talk I’ve delivered:

  • Personal story of disability
  • What is the social model of disability and how is it different to the medical model?
  • Why accessibility is legally important to organisations
  • How many disabled people are in the UK and attitudes towards disability.
  • Accessibility basics: 6 things to start today
